To complain or gripe about someone or something, Of course Marjorie is beefing about how I left dishes out in the kitchen—she's not happy unless everything is perfectly put away. I turned the thermostat up, so you all can stop beefing about how cold it is in here, thanks. Grandpa is beefing about local politics, what else is new? It seems he hates the new mayor just as much as the old one.
