A source of hope, encouragement, or inspiration, especially in the face of adversity. The man was a beacon of light in the community, always going out of his way to help those around him. To be honest, this talk show has become a beacon of light in these dark times. The feel good stories they share never fail to lift my spirits. The charity event looks to be the beacon of light our city needs.
