be streets ahead (of someone or something)

To be superior by a large margin. Primarily heard in UK, Australia. Based on the boss's praise, it sounds like I'm streets ahead of everyone else in the department. My sister's such a talented artist that her work is just streets ahead of the other entries in the competition. This computer system is certainly streets ahead in terms of cost and performance.
