1. slang To be drunk. Do you remember last night at the bar at all? You were pie-eyed! Well, I must have been pie-eyed if I got up and did karaoke at the bar last night! Help him get home, will ya? He started drinking whiskey, and now he's pie-eyed.
2. To stare wide-eyed in awe. The witnesses on the street were all pie-eyed as the van exploded into flames. The kids were totally pie-eyed when they saw the pony in our backyard. Then, Claire declared it her "best birthday ever." A lot of passersby will be pie-eyed when they see that half of the building collapsed, so please keep them back.
