rude slang To be drinking alcohol in a public setting, as at a pub, bar, or similar establishment. Primarily heard in UK, Australia. My friends and I were out on the piss last night, so I hardly remember anything at all. No drinking for me tonight. I've been on the piss all week long and my body is starting to hate me for it! What are you doing home? I figured you'd be out on the piss after the long work week you'd had.

(British English, taboo, slang) be out at a pub, club, etc. and drinking a large amount of alcohol: I’m not sure if Jerry will be at work today — he was out on the piss with his mates last night.
