be on course for (something)

To be progressing or developing as planned, scheduled, or expected toward some goal or end point. Those two have been dating since high school, so they're definitely on course for marriage. Everyone in our entire department is on course for their sales quotas for the year. Don't worry, this is just a slight hiccup. We're still on course for an August 28th settlement.
