be on (one's) way to (someone or some place)
1. To be in the process of traveling to someone or some place. We were a little late leaving the house, but we're on our way to you now. A: "Are you home?" B: "No, sorry, I'm actually on my way to the library." Don't worry, Grandma, we're on our way to your house, there's just a lot of traffic.
2. To be found or located along the route to someone or some place. We should pick up some flowers for your parents. I know of a good florist that's on our way to them. A: "You're sure you don't mind driving me to the mall?" B: "Not at all. It's on my way to work." We can't show up empty-handed! Come on, there's got to be a grocery store on our way to their house.
