To have recovered from a serious illness. Primarily heard in UK. Uncle Harry is officially off the danger list! The doctors are releasing him from the hospital tonight. I'm definitely off the danger list and feeling much better these days. A: "Whoa, he had sepsis during his hospital stay?" B: "Yeah, he's really lucky to be off the danger list now."
