To not have the same or similar level of qualities, skills, or achievements (as someone or something else). While their journey to the Olympics has been remarkable, it's clear that this young team is just not in the same league as the rest of the competition. It's fine to enjoy dumb action films, but they're not in the same league as classics like Casablanca! Come on, I've been doing this for years—I'm not in the same league as all these beginners!
