To exist in two or more places or do two or more things simultaneously. Typically used in negative constructions. The boss just keeps piling on more and more responsibilities for me. What does she want me to do, be in two places at once or something? I told you already, I'll come help you in a minute, sweetie. I'm cooking dinner, I can't be in two places at once. I'm really torn! It's two bad we can't be in two places at once.
