To deal with the same set of challenges, obstacles, or difficulties as someone or something else. During the last economic recession, pretty much every business was in the same basket. Only certain industries are being affected this time around. A: "I'm really struggling to stay focused on studying." B: "I'm in the same basket as you. It's just not fair being cooped up in the library when the sun is shining." My sister failed her driver's test, and I'll be in the same bucket if I don't practice parallel parking.
