To be a source of irritation for one, especially by impeding or interfering with one's activity or productivity. The kids have been in my hair all day long. I need you to take them out of the house for a little bit so I can get some of this cleaning done. The new intern is in my hair today, so I don't know if I'll get the report finished before the weekend. The interior designer can't get any work done if your puppy's in her hair like this!
