To be utter nonsense or foolishness. His explanation is total hogwash—it doesn't answer the question at all! These mainstream news outlets are hogwash. They're more concerned with entertaining people than informing them! A: "I think it's obvious that outcome was influenced by a consortium of wealthy conspirators." B: "That's hogwash, Pete. Seriously, just listen to yourself!"
