To have a positive effect on someone or something. More sunlight will be good for your drooping plants. I think it would be good for Sarah to get a job this summer. A little hard work never hurt anybody, after all. Because you're so wracked with guilt, I think it will be good for you to confess to Mom that you're the one who broke the vase.
