be bright and breezy

To be confident and cheerful. I may be bright and breezy now, but I often felt melancholy as a teenager. I miss the carefree days of childhood and wish I could be bright and breezy like my kids. Amanda's not exactly bright and breezy, but it does seem like her depression has lifted some.
