be born again

To experience a spiritual rebirth or rejuvenation, especially in Christianity. I converted to Catholicism when I was an adult, and I was born again when I received a baptism from my local priest. I never believed in God before, but while I was in prison I found faith and was born again. His pessimistic outlook on life has completely changed since his horrific car accident. It's like he's born again or something.
