be (as) easy as cake

To be extremely easy, simple, or intuitive; to require very little skill or effort. A combination of the phrases "be (as) easy as pie" and "be a piece of cake." After so many years as an accountant, doing taxes is as easy as cake for me. Boy, that test was easy as cake! Grandma told me that knitting would be as easy as cake, but I'm already all tangled up in yarn!
