be (all) spruced up

1. To be well dressed and neatly groomed. A: "Why's Marek all spruced up?" B: "He has a hot date tonight!" Come on, if we're going out for a night on the town, you need to be all spruced up too! Well, look at you! You're all spruced up, and the ladies are going to love it.
2. To be neat, clean, and tidy. We need to make sure this place is spruced up before the open house. This place was a wreck the last time I was here. It looks totally different now that it's all spruced up! I have three kids, so if the house needs to be spruced up for the party, it's going to me take all week to do it!
