To feel very excited or passionate about something. The crowd was all fired up after the team scored its first touchdown of the game. I know you're really fired up about this project, Darrius, but we need to get approval from the board before we can move forward with it. Don't go and talk to the boss while you're all fired up like this—wait until you're calmer so you don't say something you'll regret.
