bargain away

To lose or relinquish something as part of a negotiated agreement or exchange. A noun or pronoun can be used between "bargain" and "away." My foolish uncle has begun bargaining the family's entire estate away after my grandfather's passing. I feel like our new union reps are too eager to bargain away our benefits in order to avoid staff reductions. Yeah, I really don't think you should bargain away your ability to get a raise in the near future.
