Done according to the whims or commands of someone else. Everything is done at our children's behest; it's like they're the bosses of the family! I'm presenting you this subpoena at the civil court's behest. It doesn't matter which candidate you vote for, if you ask me—either one will lead the country at Wall Street's behest.
