as far as

To the extent of. I wouldn't go as far as calling it a riot—I think it was just a bunch of rowdy kids causing trouble. The sequel is a notch better than its predecessor in terms of its direction and production values, but as far as the plot goes it is just as atrocious. As far as money is concerned, our project will be completely funded by private donations.

Also, so far as. To the extent, degree, or amount that. This phrase alone is always used to modify a verb, as in As far as I can tell it's an authentic antique, or It's a good job as far as it goes, but it may need more work, or James said that, so far as he can remember, he's never met Mike.
