slang The resulting disappointment when something that one has anticipated does not end up happening. If you're too excited for the event, you might end up with anticipointment. We were looking forward to the wedding for so long that we had serious anticipointment when it had to be canceled due to the blizzard. Oh man, she thinks you got tickets to the concert. We're going to be dealing with a lot of anticipointment when she finds out you didn't.

n. a disappointment about something that has been anticipated. (Contrived.) The fans really suffered a severe anticipointment when the knuckleheads came up with nada after four quarters of lackluster play.
