And a little extra. "Change" here is a reference to coins, as in the price of something, but the phrase does not always refer to money. This healthy lunch only cost me a few bucks and change. He's a tall guy, about 6'3" and change. I can't believe she beat me by a whole minute and change. I had been training so hard for that race!

People say and some change to mean a small additional amount of something, usually money. Now I had two hundred and seventy-one thousand dollars and some change. A year and some change ago, I lost my job with the union.
