Life is full of acting. The phrase originated in the Shakespeare play As You Like It. I can't look this excited when I leave your office, or they'll all know I got the promotion. Well, all the world's a stage! Don't worry, I'll be civil at the party, and John will have no idea that I'm mad at him. All the world's a stage, is it not? You know, I always had this sense that she was a duplicitous snake! Ah, all the world's a stage, all right!
