That which is currently (and usually temporarily) fashionable or trendy. Haven't you heard? Wearing knee-high socks is all the thing now! I can't believe the scrunchies and butterfly clips of my childhood are all the thing again. It's so funny that Polaroids are all the thing again, just like when we were kids.
