To live in a single appropriately accessible residence as one ages, as opposed to moving to more accessible dwellings as one's mobility decreases. Living in the granny pad on our son's property will allow us to age in place. A three-storey house with lots of steps is not ideal for aging in place. My mom moved into a small rancher when she was in her 50s, so that she could just age in place.
