a broken woman
A woman who feels or is seen as incapable of healing from great emotional anguish or trauma. After my husband and kids died, I felt like a broken woman who would never know how to love again. I dated several broken women when I was younger, but it always led to issues of trust and dependency in our relationships. All that trauma would make anyone feel like a broken woman, I think.
