A part of the profits or success from an activity. Once Sarah heard that Mel was starting a new software company, she decided she wanted a bit of the action and asked to be his business partner. Even though he does the least amount of work, Tom still gets a bit of the action when the profits start to roll in. I heard you guys are charging people for access to our research. I think I'm entitled to a bit of the action!
