wha gwan

Used as a friendly, casual greeting. The phrase is unique to the colloquial English spoken in Jamaica and the Jamaican diaspora, likely derived from the English phrase "What's going on?" Commonly spelled "wagwan." Wha gwan, my friend! A long time mi nuh si yuh.
