SHTF

An initialism of "shit hits the fan," used by survivalists, individuals or groups who actively prepare for large-scale emergencies, to indicate an apocalyptic catastrophe that leads to the disintegration of modern civilization. I've spent the last two decades prepping my bunker and training how to live off the land. When the SHTF comes—and it's coming—I'll be ready.
