1. Said in order to mitigate some negative statement that one is about to make or has just made. A: "I need a telegram sent to the councilor's office." B: "Lord love you, sir, there aren't any telegram services in these parts!" I'm afraid there's no way the bank can extend the loan, Lord love you.
2. Said to express general feelings of good will and sympathy to the other person. You've been right kind to me and my family, and Lord love you for it.
