cliché Having a very large, muscular physique. Linebackers in American football are typically large in stature. Primarily heard in US. Bert is built like a linebacker, surely he can lift up this steel grating. Did you see that bouncer? He's built like a linebacker—there's no way we're getting past him! Josh is nice enough, but he's built like a linebacker, and I'm more attracted to skinny dorks, to be honest.
