An initialism for "life's a bitch, and then you die," meaning that life is characterized by struggle, suffering, or misfortune (and before you know it, you are on your deathbed). A generic lamentation usually said following some tragedy or bad luck; the abbreviation is used primarily in text messaging or online communications So you lost your job, and then you found out your boss was sleeping with your husband? Wow, LABATYD. A: "Ugh, I got a D on my term paper. I spent weeks on it!" B: "That sucks man. LABATYD!"
