I could eat a horse

I am extremely hungry. Often used in the expression "I'm so hungry I could eat a horse." When will dinner be ready? I'm so hungry I could eat a horse. After that hike, I could eat a horse. After traveling all day—and getting delayed at every turn—I'm so hungry I could eat a horse.
