To be widely popular or commonly known, as of a particular person, product, brand, company, etc. Known for its reliable and affordable household appliances, the company has been a household name for over three decades. I knew that winning at the Olympics would change my life, but I didn't realize that it would lead to me being a household name! After one of his videos went viral on the Internet, Jonathan was a household name for a little while.
