high street
The main street of a city or town where most businesses, especially shops, are located. Primarily heard in UK. We strolled along the high street, taking our time to look at the window displays of all the boutique stores. You two have a lot of bags, so I guess you did some serious shopping on high street. Don't take me to high street, I can't afford anything there!
