rude slang An initialism of "fandom is just a goddamn hobby," used as a slogan by those within fandom subcultures, especially science fiction fandoms, for whom the fandom is merely an enjoyable pastime, not something requiring a complete devotion of one's time. A: "How can you call yourself a fan if you've never cosplayed or been to a convention?" B: "Hey, FIJAGH! Don't go gatekeeping me just because I've got other things going on my life." I don't get it, personally, but I don't think it's fair to say FIJAGH. Fandoms clearly mean a lot to the people who are a part of them. I can't believe he's a grown man spending all his money on comic books and comic book conventions. Dude, like, FIJAGH.
