brown energy
Energy that is derived from traditional resources, such as coal, oil, natural gas, and nuclear power, which are seen by some as environmentally unfriendly. If we're going to keep our planet clean, we need to move away from brown energy and invest in renewable resources, such as wind and solar. If the electric car industry takes off, it seems that brown energy's days are numbered. In an election, it always seems like one candidate is in favor of brown energy while the other is in favor of renewable energy.
bundle of energy
Someone who is exceptionally energetic, alert, productive, or hyperactive. My kids are always such bundles of energy first thing in the morning. Susan sure is a bundle of energy today! She's been tearing through her to-do list. A: "What's wrong with you? You're usually a bundle of energy when you get into the office." B: "I couldn't get my coffee maker to work this morning."
throw away on (someone or something)
To waste, squander, or misuse something because of or for the benefit of someone or something. A noun or pronoun is used either before or after "away." No wonder you don't have any savings—you keep throwing it away on junk you don't need! I can't believe I threw my youth away on such an unfulfilling job. Don't throw your time and effort away on people who don't appreciate your efforts.
