Eddie would go
set phrase Used in surfer culture referring to an especially difficult or dangerous wave. A reference to Eddie Aikau, a famous Hawaiian surfer known for taking on huge, dangerous waves. A: "Do you want to try those waves?" B: "No way, they'd destroy us!" A: "But Eddie would go." I know Eddie would go, but you don't have enough experience to surf in waters this rough! Any time my surfer friends want me to do something daring with them, they use "Eddie would go" as a way to convince me.
