One who dresses in clothing and accessories typically worn by the opposite sex in their society or culture. Uncle Ned was proud as a cross-dresser. It was a form of expression for him. I wonder how many heterosexual men are cross-dressers. Because I went to an all-boys' school, some guys obviously had to be cross-dressers when we put on plays like Romeo and Juliet.
