To intentionally miss class, usually to pursue some other activity. I can't possibly sit through another lecture today, so let's just cut class and go to the beach. My kids have never been good students. They just want to cut class and get in trouble all the time. Sean cut class to see his favorite band play live? Well, that excuse will not go over well once the teachers realize he's not here.

A SCHOOL is cutting class times and losing a staff member due to lack of funds, it has been revealed.
A recent report by the Massachusetts Budget and Policy Center, "Cutting Class: Underfunding the Foundation Budget's Core Education Program," found a number of areas of substantive concern in the calculation of the foundation budget.
