slang The police (because they often wear blue uniforms). We always like to show our support for the blue suits by donating to police charities. Why are you surprised that one of the neighbors called the blue suits? You two were screaming at each other at midnight! It is nerve-wracking to be married to a police officer, but it's nothing new for me—my dad and brothers are all blue suits.
