(as) white as (the) driven snow

Extremely white or pale in color or complexion. ("Driven snow" is that which has been moved along by a current.) Now that my grandfather has stopped dyeing his hair, it's become as white as driven snow. Our father, his face white as the driven snow, put the phone down and told us he'd lost his job. Because I'm white as the driven snow, I really need to slather on the sunscreen before hitting the beach—otherwise, I'll just burn.
