2. Utterly unfeeling or unsympathetic. He looked at me with eyes as cold as any stone, and I realized that he had no intention of helping me. The killer sat cold as any stone as she heard the verdict being handed down. Whoever masterminded this heinous prank must have a heart as cold as any stone.
