The portions we ate were small, and the message at the table was to enjoy what's on your plate and, when you are full, stop (there's no Le Clean Plate Club in France). This is particularly hard on those of us who grew up as certified members of the clean plate club. All of these clean plate clubbers, though, should pay heed to AICR experts, who suggest that continuous cleaning off of one's plate may be linked to obesity and obesity-related diseases. |
